Through an imaginative détournement of Mann and Visconti, Canadian filmmaker John Greyson, whose irreverent and politically radical work is inextricably linked to the fight against HIV/AIDS, makes an irreverent parody of the media-induced fear and panic during the AIDS crisis, unmasking the pervasive sexophobia and moralism and promoting safer sex practices.
