Dopo un master in regia cinematografica alla London Film School, ha diretto il suo primo cortometraggio, Je suis Présent (2015), con LE G.R.E.C. Nel 2017 ha diretto Saranac Lake, prodotto da Sedna Films. Nel 2018 ha partecipato a Les Ateliers Médicis a Clichy-sous-Bois, dove ha seguito come tutor tre progetti cinematografici, Les Archipels. Nel 2019 si è recato in Alaska per dirigere il documentario Midnight Kids, in occasione del 50° anniversario di LE G.R.E.C. Nel 2021 ha completato Planète X, un mediometraggio prodotto da Les Films de La Capitaine in co-produzione con Rectangle Productions. Il suo ultimo documentario Je suis déjà mort trois fois (2025) sul regista e attore Jacques Nolot, prodotto da Venin Films e co-prodotto da La Traverse, è stato presentato a Cinéma du Réel. Parallelamente, la sceneggiatura del suo primo lungometraggio di finzione, Cosmos-Zoo (un fantasy thriller), ha ottenuto una borsa di scrittura dal CNC e dalla Région Sud. Il progetto è stato inoltre selezionato quest'anno per la residenza CECI Moulin d'Andé e per la prima France-Korea Academy organizzata da CNC e KOFIC.

After a master’s degree in filmaking at the London Film School, Maxence Vassilyevitch directed his first short film, Je suis Présent (2015), with LE G.R.E.C. In 2017, he directed Saranac Lake, produced by Sedna films. In 2018 he joined les Ateliers Medicis in Clichy sous Bois, to mentor three film projects, Les Archipels. In 2019, he went to Alaska to direct the documentary Midnight Kids for the 50th anniversary of LE G.R.E.C. In 2021 he completed Planète X, a medium-length film produced by Les Films de La Capitaine in co-production with Rectangle Productions. His most recent feature-length documentary, I Have Already Died Three Times (2025), about the director and actor Jacques Nolot, produced by Venin Films and co-produced by La Traverse, was presented at the Cinéma du Réel. In parallel, the script for his first feature-length fiction film, Cosmos-Zoo (a fantasy triller), received a writing grant from the CNC and the Région Sud. The project was also selected this year for the CECI Moulin d’Andé residency and for the first France-Korea Academy organised by CNC and KOFIC.
