The discovery of videos uploaded to YouTube when she was still a child prompts Manuela to reflect on her relationship with the Internet: what traces of herself has she left online? What do these digital remnants reveal about who she is now, years later? How has she been shaped by her early experience of the web?

Manuela Gutiérrez Arrieta constructs an intimate desktop film that approaches the web as a modern archive, from which it is possible to reconstruct fundamental fragments of one’s private history, but also as a space for introspection and self-rediscovery. In the director’s hands, the Internet becomes a tool for excavating both personal and collective trauma, as well as for understanding one’s own identity—through videos and old chats—in a portrait that is never conciliatory, and that speaks to what it means to grow up online, especially as a young woman.
