The Empty Screen

Mark Rappaport

Stati Uniti 2017 / 11’ / v.o. sott. it.

An empty screen, a story of unrequited love, life itself. Traditionally vivisected, studied, analyzed, the relationship we have with cinema is shown in its complexity only through an eye that is both lucid and, at the same time, dazzled by fascination. Mark Rappaport's voice is the guide on a journey in which the important thing is to lose oneself: to lose the idea of time in encountering past films and imagining what is to come, to lose a single perspective in one's relationship with the screen, to lose oneself outside and inside cinematic devices.
