Il viaggio attraverso la wilderness americana di cinque adolescenti che si lasciano il liceo alle spalle e partono per una nuova avventura, affrontando piccole e grandi sfortune ma sempre sotto il segno della condivisione e della voglia di fare esperienza. Lo spettatore viaggia con loro fra gli Stati Uniti d’America liberandosi dalle strutture del cinema tradizionale come se fossero gli stessi protagonisti a scuoterlo nelle fondamenta, rendendo il film un abbraccio generazionale incontrollabile e pieno di energia, sparato alla velocità della luce, la stessa con cui i cinque adolescenti fuggono dall’età adulta un’ultima volta.
Un film intimo ma grande, che fa toccare con mano l’amicizia e la fraternità con conseguenze imprevedibili.

The journey of five teenagers through US wilderness, leaving behind the high school and headed to a new adventure, facing little and big misfortunes always under the sign of sharing and desire to experience everything. The spectator travels with them through the United States of America breaking free from the structures of traditional cinema as if the protagonists were the very agents of this deep shaking, directing themselves the movie as an out of control and energetic generational hug, shot at the speed of light, the same speed they use to get away from adulthood one last time.
An intimate yet big movie, which makes you touch with hands friendship and fraternity with unforeseeable consequences.

Classe 1982, regista, produttore, montatore, direttore della fotografia, premiato al SXSW e agli Independent Spirit Awards, co-dirige col fratello i suoi documentari mostrati in tutto il mondo. Viene selezionato da festival come l’Athens International Film Festival, il BAFICI di Buenos Aires, il CPH:DOX di Copenaghen, fino ad arrivare al Sundance e alla Berlinale. Il suo ultimo lavoro, Gasoline Rainbow, è selezionato nel concorso Orizzonti dell’ottantesima Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica di Venezia del 2023.

Born in 1982, director, producer, editor, cinematographer, awarded at the SXSW and at the Independent Spirit Awards, he co-directs with his brother his documentaries that are shown worldwide. He is selected from movie festivals like the Athens International Film Festival, the Buenos Aires’s BAFICI, the Copenhagen’s CPH:DOX, right to the Sundance Film Festival and the Berlinale . His last work, Gasoline Rainbow, is screened in the Orizzonti section at the 80th Venice International Film Festival in 2023.

Nato come il fratello minore a Sydney, Ohio, nel 1980, realizza con Turner Ross tutti i suoi film fin dal loro trasferimento a New Orleans, accompagnando i suoi lavori nei festival di tutto il mondo. I loro film vengono celebrati da Roger Ebert, dal New York Times, da Variety. Nonostante ciò è, insieme al fratello, poco noto all’infuori degli Stati Uniti, a dispetto dell’approdo a Berlino nel 2020 con Bloody Nose, Empty Pockets e nel 2023 a Venezia con Gasoline Rainbow.

Born in Sydney, Ohio, as his younger brother, in 1980, he directs with Turner Ross all his movies since their transfer to New Orleans, bringing his works in many film festivals worldwide. Their works are celebrated by Roger Ebert, by New York Times, by Variety. Despite all that, he is not very well known outside of the United States along with his brother, although he is selected in Berlin Film Festival in 2020 with Bloody Nose, Empty Pockets and in Venice Film Festival in 2023 with Gasoline Rainbow.
