Elly Jarvis

Nasce nel 1991 nel Minnesota, dove si laurea in Recitazione presso l’Università del Michigan. In seguito, si trasferisce a Berlino, città di grande influenza per le sue opere, e lì si laurea in Pedagogia Teatrale all’Universität der Künste. Con Lilli Strakerjahn ha realizzato diversi progetti teatrali tra cui Subject: YOU/ME/US (2021), precursore di Dressing Up Together, suo primo film.

She was born in 1991 in Minnesota, where she earned a degree in Acting from the University of Michigan. She later moved to Berlin ‒ a city that has had a profound aesthetic influence on her work ‒ and there she earned a degree in Theater Pedagogy from the Universität der Künste. Together with Lilli Strakerjahn she has realized many theater projects including Subject: YOU/ME/US (2021), precursor to Dressing up together, her debut film.

Ha studiato Sociologia a Vienna e Pedagogia Teatrale a Berlino e, dal 2015, lavora come regista e artista teatrale con Elly Jarvis, con cui ha costituito il collettivo femminista teatrale SEE/SAW, Saioa Alvarez Ruiz, Stefan Mießeler, Moritz Beichl e Anna Marbö. Come educatrice teatrale, ha recentemente realizzato il format Antworten Auf Auffuhrungen al Berliner Ensemble con Leonie Ahmer e Mona Wahba. Dressing Up Together è il suo primo film.
