Il pazzo di Palermo

[ita]

Nino Drago was one of the most important figures of the Palermo theatre. His voice runs through decades of activities, names, anecdotes, while his face and hands seem to reconstruct, during this long interview, the main steps of his career: the foundation of the Piccolo Teatro in Via Pasquale Calvi, the hunger strike, the trip to Rome and the meeting with Gian Maria Volonté.
In this long interview, the wisdom of a voice that remains even if the person who emits it is no longer with us reverberates. In fact, Nino Drago died in October 2024, not remembered by his colleagues and career companions, leaving behind this long confession that combines sagacity and bitterness, and that, even in evoking chronicles of real life, lets flashes of creativity come out.
